Victor Charles Marquardt

Victor Charles Marquardt, 85, of Dodge Center passed away on May 7, 2018, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center.

Victor was born July 4, 1932, the son of Charles and Marie (Krueger) Marquardt in Dodge Center. He was baptized, confirmed and married at Grace Lutheran Church. He graduated from Dodge Center High School and served in the United States Army from 1953-1955, during the Korean Conflict. Victor was united in marriage to Bettye Green on September 27, 1958, in Dodge Center. Victor farmed all his life. He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, driving around looking at crops and was very active in the church on various committees. His faith in God was evident in his generosity to others.

He was a member of the Dodge Center American Legion.

Victor is survived by his wife, Bettye Marquardt, Dodge Center; children, James (Susan) Marquardt, Dodge Center; Karen (Mitch) Bryngelson, Inver Grove Heights; Dan (Kim) Marquardt, Dodge Center; eight grandchildren, Vicki Marquardt, Kristin Marquardt, Patrick Marquardt, Jenna (Zach) Detko, Emily Bryngelson, Jade Bryngelson, Casey (Kenya) Narveson, and Andy Narveson; two great grandchildren, Abe Detko and Mara Detko; brother, Leonard (Lois) Marquardt, Dodge Center and sister, Phyllis (James) Franck, Duluth. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Monday.

The funeral service will be Monday, May 14, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 Central Avenue North, in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Timothy Chase officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery with Military honors by the Dodge Center American Legion.
