Nancy Ann Cederberg passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Lake City.
Nancy was born to Lois and Alan Johnson on February 12, 1936 in Appleton and later lived in Detroit Lakes where she graduated from high school. Following high school, Nancy was employed at the University of Minnesota. She married Charles Cederberg on September 3, 1955, and they resided in Red Wing. Nancy was employed at Red Wing Shoe Company as an Executive Secretary for several years and later went to work for Brown Seed Farms in Bay City, Wisconsin.
In 1997, Nancy moved to Chicago, Illinois to be closer to her children and moved back to Minnesota in 2000.
Nancy was a member of United Lutheran Church in Red Wing, Concordia Lutheran Church in Chicago, and Christ Lutheran Church in Byron. While living in Red Wing, Nancy was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, knitting and playing cards.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Debra (Greg) Schreck of Lake City and son Wayne (Rebecca) Cederberg of Byron; grandchildren Brian (Sara) Schreck of Livonia, Michigan, Tony (Katie) Schreck and Heidi Schreck of Chicago, Illinois; great grandchildren Anna and Clara Schreck of Livonia, Michigan; step grandchildren Dustin of Fairmont, Minnesota and Makayla, Tara and Bailey of Byron; sister Mary Jo (Curt) Motchenbacher of Punta Gorda, Florida and brother Richard (Roxanne) Johnson of Wyoming, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
