Get ready for Byron's BrrrFest festival coming up next Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 8.
Friday night gets under way with drink specials and a fire pit at the Bear's Den and Moonlight Bowling at Wildwood Sports Bar & Grill.
At 6 p.m. Team R.E.D. will sponsor a "Drop Your Drawers" fun run at the Bear's Den. Every quarter mile drop a piece of winter wear to donate.
Zollman Zoo at Oxbow Park will be lit up for the holidays from 5 to 8 p.m. with treats and activities.
A full day of indoor activities is scheduled for Saturday with an open house at the Historical Society, carnival games, face painting and a bouncy house at the District Administration and Community Services Building, Toys for Tots drop off at 813 Grand Ridge Drive NE, an open house at Otto's Bakery and Coffee Shop and pictures with Santa at Anytime Fitness.
For outdoor activities the Lion's Club will be selling Christmas trees at Otto's Bakery, there will be early afternoon sleight rides, reindeer petting and pictures at the Bear's Den and a 5:30 p.m. tree lighting ceremony.
ZooDazzle will again light up the Zollman Zoo at Oxbow Park from 5 to 8 p.m.
