10/9/2018 4:07:00 PM Students raise funds for Harbert family
The Hayfield fall sports teams and administration set goals to raise money for the Harbert family, who were involved in a tragic car accident in Claremont. The football and volleyball captains' goal was to raise $250 - by reaching that goal they would smash pies in each other's faces. Cross country and bowling captains' goal was $500 and they would kiss a llama. The superintendent's goal was $750 and he would eat crickets. High School Principal Grant Klennert's goal was $1,000 and then he would have to do what was chosen for him. His surprise was to wear a chicken suit on Monday, greeting students as they got off the bus and wear it in school all day.
