After a year of construction and years before that of planning, dreaming and hoping, Teresa and Todd Bahr held the grand opening of the expansion to their business, Early Advantage Childcare at 507 Frontage Road NE in Byron Sept. 18.
Members of the Byron Chamber of Commerce turned out in force for the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the facility.
Teresa said she earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education so she could be a teacher but, "I've always loved early childhood education," and when the couple moved back to the area to be closer to her parents, Bonnie and Brian Jorgenson, she started a child care center at her home.
When the Amazing Kids childcare center became available, she jumped at the chance, she said and purchased it in 2012.
Within a few years, she knew she needed to expand and so began the dreaming, hoping and planning and with help from the community, the dream became a reality.
