School administrative assistants are a happy group and were content to have their picture taken and to talk about what it is they like about their jobs. It was their week - National Administrative Assistant Week.
"The most important thing is the students - watching them grow into young adults," they agreed. "We like working with ALL the students, preschool through seniors. We like working with such good staff people - a caring staff that is like a family. We like the variety, with no two days the same and every day a challenge, and they like the variety, with no two days the same."
The faces will be a little different next year, with Susan retiring and Tonya moving up from Brownsdale into her slot.
"I would like to thank all of our administrative assistants for the jobs they do for our district," Ron Evjen, Superintendent of Schools of the Hayfield Community Schools, said. "They maintain and run the offices in our schools with hard work and a smile. They are dedicated employees and it is nice to have a special day to formally say 'Thank you!'"
