The Triton boys basketball game beat the snow before it hit Minnesota on Monday, March 4, but the Cobras couldn't take out the number one seeded team in Section 2AA, losing 81-42.
The Eagles jumped out early with quick passing and sharp attacking drives through the lane and the Cobras fell a step behind.
"The Maple River boys really moved the ball well and did a great job in transition and attacking the hoop," Coach Jason Boe said.
The Eagles also caused the Cobras turnovers throughout the night with its tough man to man play.
"They got into the passing lanes quickly and our guys reacted too slowly," Coach Boe said. "It was tough for us to simulate the quickness and aggressiveness we saw last night in the practices leading up to our game. We told the guys that crisp passes to guys on the move would be a key.
