The Byron-Lourdes gymnasts remained undefeated on Dec. 19th with a victory over Caledonia. The Bears scored another season high team total of 129.6 points. Caledonia scored 116. 05. Byron-Lourdes swept the top three places in all events!
"It was another solid night for our girls!" Coach Coleman said.
"It was a great night, and we had no falls on the beam tonight!" Coach Alzamora said.
8th grader Annika Carlson had another great night. She won the all around with 33.35 points. She was second in the vault with 8.475 and won the other 3 events. Annika scored 7.75 in the uneven bars, 8.325 on the balance beam, and 8.8 on the floor.
7th grader, Emma Weatherly is improving every meet. She placed 2nd in the all around with a score of 32.175. She was 5th in the vault with 8.4, 4th in bars with 7.425, 2nd in beam with 8.15, and4th in floor with 8.2.
8th grader, Hannah Coleman had another great night. She placed 3rd in the all around with 31.9 points on her birthday! Hannah was third in vault with 8.45, 6th in bars with 7.3, 3rd in beam with 7.875, and 2nd in floor with 8.275.
8th grader Emma Jensen won the vault with a score of 8.475. This is her second first place finish in that event this season.
Senior Jillian Krier was second in the uneven bars with her season high score of 7.625.
Junior Stephanie Bellrichard was 3rd in the uneven bars with 7.5. She was also 4th on the beam with 7.65, and 8th on the floor with 7.5.
Freshman Lourdes gymnast Lexi Caples was third on the floor with a score of 8.225.
Junior Taylor Knesel was 7th in the vault with 8.35 and 6th on the beam with 7.1.
The Bears will have their biggest challenge of the season so far as they travel to LaCrescent on Thursday, Dec. 20th, which will be their last meet until after the Holidays.
