Hayfield improved their record to 15-5 with the win over Triton in three games on October 9. "Triton is a well coached, and very scrappy team, " Coach Kim Severson said. "They hustle for every ball and make it difficult to finish points." Triton's record is 10-11 overall.
Coach Severson was pleased to see things clicking so well for the Viking volleyball team. "It's exciting to see things that we work on in practice come into game play," she said. We had some great shots by our hitters, and had some great defensive saves where the girls are being scrappy for every ball; and that's what we need to do for every point." She said the team will continue to get into the gym and strive for improvement.
Hayfield beat Zumbrota-Mazeppa 3-1. Improving their record to 16-5 overall. "This is a good win for Hayfield,"Severson said. "ZM came off of wins from Goodhue and Byron, so we knew we had to play well She commented they were a hard working team and had great defense.
