The Kasson-Mantorville track and field team placed second in the Chuck Ramthun Invitational in Byron May 3.
Byron took first with a score of 199.50; K-M was second with 140.50; while Stewartville took third in the seven-team field with 102 points.
Kinsey Koebele placed first in the 100 meter dash (13.78); Maclyn Smith took second in the 200 meter dash (28.67); McKenzie Evans was third in the 800 meter run (2:27.81); Tiana Wiebke placed fourth in the 800 meter run (2:34.38) and first in the 1600 meter run (5:29.89).
Whitney Deno placed second in the 1600 meter run (5:44.23); Sophie Gossard took fourth in the 3200 meters (13:45.64); Lyndi Schubert placed second in the 100 meter hurdles (18.15) and second in the 300 meter hurdles (51.62); while Brooke Gullickson, Kelli Schneider, Taryn Orser and Kinsey Koebele placed first in the 4x100 (52.84).
Orser, Anna Rechtzigel, Maclyn Smith and Briana Haala took third in the 4x200 relay, while Rechtzigel placed third in the high jump (4-10); Kelli Scheider placed second in the triple jump (34-01) and Ashanti Branson placed first in the shot put (31-10).
