Nathan Joseph Godbout

Nathan Joseph Godbout, age 28 of Brownsdale, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday May 9, 2014 at his home. He was born November 22, 1985 in Cloquet, Minnesota to Mark and Evonne (McMartin) Godbout. Following his 2004 graduation from Hayfield High School, Nathan attended Riverland Community College for two years, and then went to work as a machinist for Bowman Tool Manufacturing in Rochester. An avid reader, Nathan also enjoyed building models, gaming, hunting and fishing, cars, and motorcycles.

Survivors include his parents Mark and Evonne Godbout of Brownsdale, his brother Dale (Michelle) Godbout, also of Brownsdale, his sister Tiffany Ann (Robert) Gerhart of Maple Grove, MN, and brother Aaron Godbout of Denver, Colorado; six nieces Heather, Lisa, Breanna, Taylor, Alyx, and Lauren; aunts, uncles, 'Grandpa' Robert Thompson of Brownsdale, and many friends in Brownsdale and the surrounding area. Nathan was preceded in death by his grandparents and his uncle, Jim McMartin.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Rev. Jeff Sage officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Worlein Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brownsdale, at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Brownsdale Fire Department.
