SUMMARY COUNCIL MINUTES

May 14, 2018

This published information is a summary of the full minutes of the May 14, Dodge Center City Council meeting. A copy of the full minutes is available for viewing at City Hall, 35 East Main Street or online at www.ci.dodgecenter.mn.us.

Present: Mayor Bill Ketchum, Cathy Skogen, Gary Trelstad, Paul Blaisdell, Josh Jorgenson, Lee Mattson, Daphne Roberts, Liz Johnson, Jared Oscarson, Mark Barwald, Ingvild Herfindahl, Dave Kenworthy, Wendy Kenworthy, Deputy Brion, Larry Dobson, John Higgins

The City Council approved the following items:

• Agenda, minutes, and accounts payables presented;

• Funding for library maintenance projects to be paid out from Cultural Capital Fund as bills come in;

• Resolution 2018-016, approving Interim Use Permit Application 18-05I for John Higgins;

• Resolution 2018-018, approving Interim Use Permit Application 18-06I for Jack Walston;

• The purchase of a picnic table to be installed on the west side of City Hall;

• The purchase of a Kubota lawn mower for $5500 for the Waste Water Treatment Plant;

• The hiring of AgLand Construction to do culvert repair work at Bud Sanson's for $5,227.70;

• The hiring of AgLand Construction to do road drainage/repair work on 1st Ave NE for $996.10;

• A payment of $37,259.75 to DHS from the Ambulance Service;

• Resolution 2018-017, issuing G.O. Water Revenue Note 2018A;

• Water tower change order #1 for $2300 to replace 10' of ladder;

• Ratification of staff decision to create an account for non-MIF dollars;

• Public hearing for Rosenau Hobby Kennel License application set for June 11th at 6:00pm;

• The hiring of Aquatic Center staff as presented for the 2018 season;

• Acquisition of an ASCAP license by the City in order to legally play music at the Aquatic Center and other City facilities;

• The updated employment agreement for the City Administrator which includes the same cost of living adjustment provided to City Employees in 2018;

• Liquor License renewals submitted to the City by Dodge Center establishments.

Meeting adjourned at 6:53 p.m.
