SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

Monday, July 15, 2013-6:00 p.m.

 Site: Byron High School Multipurpose/Board Room

 Members present: Matt Prigge, Paul Daley, Chris Douglas, Faith Hollasch, Peggy Morris,

Peggy Harris, Tessa Olive, student council representatives Nick Laning and Justine

Schneider. Members absent: None. Superintendent Jeff Elstad was present

 Approved agenda with additions

 Approved consent agenda including: communications; June 18, 2013 minutes; treasurer's

report; wire transfers totaling $790,998.96; claims and bills; donations from United Way,

Southeast Service Coop, Byron Booster Club, Byron PTO; open enrollment agreements;

renewal of membership in Southeast Service Cooperative 2013-2014; renewal of

membership in Minnesota School Boards Association and Policy Services for 2013-2014;

School Board meeting calendar 2013-2014; contracts for Wendy Wolfram, Stacey Kovash

and Carmel Zielske; resignations of Kate Kuisle, Kaitlynn Craig, Emily Pearson, Maria

Burnham; 3 year health and safety budget by finance code; current Health and Safety Policy

807 as it exists; revised job descriptions-accounting clerk-accounts payable and Special

Education Coordinator; 2013-2014 support staff contracts, bus driver contracts and salary

schedules; 2013-2014 managers and directors contract and salaries; increase substitute

teacher pay and support staff substitute pay; 2013 letter of understanding program funding

agreement with United Way

 Jennifer Walsh, Director of Business Operations, shared supporting information describing

the legislative impact on our operating referendum.

 Superintendent Jeff Elstad's report.

 Approved line of credit agreement with First Security Bank

 Approved Taher, Inc.'s food service management renewal for 2013-2014

 Reinstated free lifetime activity passes for senior citizens and retired Byron Public School

staff

 Adjourned meeting at 6:46 p.m.
