SUMMARY COUNCIL MINUTES

March 10, 2014

This published information is a summary of the full minutes of the March 10, 2014 Dodge Center City Council meeting. A copy of the full minutes is available for viewing at City Hall, 35 East Main Street or online at www.ci.dodgecenter.mn.us.

Present: Bill Ketchum, Gary Trelstad, Paul Blaisdell, Cathy Skogen, Josh Jorgenson,

Lee Mattson, Mark Barwald, Dave Kenworthy, Linda Nagel, Deputy Mark Dyshaw, Brian Weber, Tim Woessner, Brad Barber, Mike Hukee, Dan Wiese, Dan Archer, Kari Samlaska

The City Council acted as follows:

• Approved agenda, minutes, and accounts payables presented;

• Discussed a request from Dan Archer to operate a hotdog cart in the City between June and October, 2014;

• Denied Kari Samlaska's request for more time to get a medical prescription to keep her pet pigs, and directed staff to proceed with the citation process to remove the pigs from the property;

• Denied Brad Barber's request to have the City pay his plumbing bill for work done in an attempt to thaw his water service line;

• Approved the Fire Department's request to purchase a hydraulic pump for $2,500;

• Discussed Main Street Project lighting information;

• Approved a resolution to extend the period which a contract for Improvement No. 2014-01 may be let;

• Approved the purchase of a new handheld meter reader;

• Approved aquatic center recommendations with the exception of the pool closing date;

• Set a public hearing for March 24, 2014 on proposed liquor license amendment;

• Approved retroactive pay to Public Works employees;

• Approved the Dodge Center Airport Board recommendation to proceed with the Dual Fuel System Project;

• Approved the DC Ambulance Association's request to waive Community Center fees for their annual banquet event;

• Approved the reappointment of Bill Thiemann to the EDA;

• Approved proceeding with the TAP Grant Project.
