Summer: a time of fun in the sun. There is so much free time, but sometimes it's hard to know what exactly to do with it. Swimming is on the top of many "To Do" lists for people, but where? And when? Well, this summer, thanks to Dodge County Public Health, the UCare Grant, and participating pools in Dodge County, there will be the opportunity to participate in Free Swimming Tuesdays!
Participating pools, such as the Dodge Center Natalie Webb Family Aquatic Center located at 509 First Avenue NE, the Hayfield Pool located at 324 Second Street SE, and the West Concord Pool located at 400 Eugene Street, will be allowing people of all ages to enter the pools for free on certain Tuesdays in each month during the summer, in order to help others get fit and have fun while doing so. If they close the pool that day for bad weather, it's okay! They will reschedule the free day for the Thursday of the same week.
Times for the free days left are: Dodge Center July 9, and August 13 from noon to 8:30 p.m.; Hayfield Pool July 23, and August 27 from 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.; and West Concord Pool will have its free days July 16, and August 20 from 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
For any additional information, call Dodge County Public Health at 507-635-6150. For information for a specific pool, call the pools directly; Dodge Center Aquatic Center is 507-633-6300, Hayfield Pool is 507-477-2500, and West Concord Pool is 507-527-2935.
On the Fourth of July the Dodge Center Family Aquatic Center and the West Concord pool will be open. The Hayfield pool will not be open because there are no lifeguards available to staff the pool.
