2/26/2013 1:33:00 PM PUC approves Pleasant Valley Wind extension

Last week, on Feb. 20 the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission extended for two years the deadline for construction to begin on the 301-megawatt (MW) wind farm project of Pleasant Valley Wind LLC. The project plans call for construction of between 130 and 200 wind turbines in Hayfield and Vernon townships in Dodge County and in Dexter, Pleasant Valley, Red Rock, Sargeant and Waltham townships in Mower County to begin by Oct. 27, 2014. According to the original permit application, the turbines will have a nameplate capacity of 1.5-2.3 and a hub height of 262 ft.
After receiving notice of the PUC extension, I contacted Pleasant Valley Wind LLC for a little more information about the project. Following are the questions I asked and answers provided by V. Pres. of Development Joe DeVito.
