3/2/2018 1:28:00 PM Lowell, Evelyn Trom sue Ripley Township over hog farm approval
By Karen M. Jorgensen
Lowell and Evelyn Trom of Westfield Township have filed suit in District Court against Ripley Township, the Ripley Township Board of Adjustments and Appeals and Timothy and Jennifer Langdon, after the township approved a hog operation in the township.
The case was filed in Dodge County District Court February 27, by Jeff W. Brown, the attorney for the Troms.
The suit alleges that the township failed to enforce the township zoning ordinances that require public notice and complete application information. It also alleges they improperly granted a variance and conditional use permit for a proposed hog operation of 2,400 pits or 720 animal units. The Langdon's requested the permit.
The defendants have 20 days to answer the complaint.
