Sheriff Scott Rose, on Monday, announced he will be running for a second term as Dodge County's Sheriff. As of press time he has no one running against him.
Rose said it's been a privilege to serve as Dodge County's sheriff for the past three and half years. "We've developed strong partnerships with our public safety community, our schools and our local businesses along with a much improved level of trust within the communities that we serve," Rose said. "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to continue to serve this community which I grew up in and raised my family in."
Rose was elected in November of 2014 and took office in January of 2015. His first step when he took office was re-instating Chief Deputy Mike Leonhardt who had been fired by former sheriff Jim Jensen. He joined Rose and Captain Ryer Anderson as the sheriff's office administrative team. "Bringing Mike back also proved important in helping to repair major trust issues that had developed between our staff and administration and with the public we serve," Rose said.
