Hayfield School District voters go to the polls next Monday, Sept. 11 to answer two questions, the first regarding education and infrastructure improvements and the second regarding security and activities improvements.
Voters are first asked to authorize the district to issue up to $9.99 million of general obligation school building bonds to fund renovation, repair, remodeling, retrofitting, upgrading, equipping and construction of improvements to facilities.
Voters are then asked to up to $4.265 million of general obligation school building bonds to fund construction of cafeteria and interior concession stand improvements, the completion of dedicated School Age Child Care (SACC) and flex space for before and after school childcare, resurfacing of the track, bituminous surface replacement, secure entry improvements, safety and security improvements, and remodeling of the district office.
Question one must pass or both questions fail, but voters could pass question one without okaying question two.
Voting takes place in the Hayfield High School east lobby at 9 Sixth Avenue SE in Hayfield. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
