4/8/2014 3:31:00 PM Burglaries reported in Dodge County
The Dodge County Sheriff's Department is investigating a string of burglaries that happened last week.
The first was reported on March 27, in West Concord.
According the report, an owner of a construction company reported that the house they are currently working on was broken into and had some equipment stolen. He listed three DeWalt brand saws were taken along with the stands that they were on and a Milwaukee brand portable radio.
In the report it was noted that there were pry marks on the garage door and tire marks in the dirt in the driveway that appeared to be from a smaller size vehicle as they were not very large tracks.
The second burglary was reported on March 30.
According to the incident report; the reporter stated he had bought the property from his aunt who no longer lives in the home but does still have her possessions in the home. The reporter stated the property has been broken into several times in the past and that it was hard to tell if anything had been taking this time. The reporter found a lock had been cut on a steel shed door and they discovered another wooden shed door had also been broken into and the door had been torn off. The reporter said that the property had been "messed with" and he thinks that those responsible for the burglaries might be looking for scrap metal.
Anyone with any information on the burglaries is asked to call the Dodge County Sheriff's Department at 635-6200.
