Sonja's Studio earns a first in "Fresh Faces"

Sonja's Studio, Hayfield, received the first place award for the 4-9-year-old age group in the Minnesota Professional Photographers Association's (MNPPA) annual "Fresh Faces" contest, along with four other second and third place awards.

Sydney Risius was selected as the winner by a group of state judges and will receive a $200 cash prize from the MNPPA. Sydney is 8 years old and the daughter of Jerry and Lisa Risius of Brownsdale, MN.

Second place finishers were Alicia Ajuntas, daughter of Christina Wohlers and Tony Ajuntas of Plainview, MN in the 0-3 year age group and Paisley Scanlan, daughter of Brian and Brenna Scanlan of Hayfield, MN in the 4-9 age category. These girls will receive a $100 prize from the MNPPA.

Third place winner in the 0-3 age group was Kinlee Mickelson, daughter of Curt and Christine Mickelson of Hayfield and in the 4-9 age group was Luke Domino, son of Eric and Cathy Domino of Hayfield, MN. $50 prizes are given to the third place winners.

Sonja's Studio also awarded prizes to their contest entrants, with Evan Wood, son of Christine and Mike Wood of Mantorville, MN taking first place and receiving a 16x20 portrait. Drew Glahn, son of Jesse and Hailee Glahn of LaCrosse, WI (grandson of Steve and Robin Woodwick, Hayfield, MN) placing second with an 11x14 portrait prize and Kinlee Mickelson, daughter of Curt and Christine Mickelson of Hayfield taking third with an 8x10 portrait prize.
